So if you want 8 tracks (4 stereo) in the Master, click its I/O button and set Track Channels to 8. The Master has the Track Channels pull-down in the upper right corner of the Outputs for Master Track. up to 64 (pairs only since REAPER defaults to a stereo arrangement). Click the I/O button on the track you want to use and in the top row near the middle is a pull down box labeled Track Channels that defaults to 2 unless you've set up a template with more than two channels. REAPER is really infinitely flexible in terms of audio (and MIDI) routing.Įvery REAPER track can have up to 64 audio channel, including the Master. If you really want individual REAPER tracks to go to separate outputs, just use the Output section of the track to send that track to a specific hardware output, but this would be more limiting than using (in your case) an 8 channel Master section and then routing whatever REAPER tracks you want to any particular channel. I use a 6 channel Master section so I can quickly switch any of these outputs on or off, and of course with REAPER's infinite routing ability, I can send any mix to any of these "buses". It's very handy - I route my main DAW stereo outputs to Monitor Output 1 and Monitor Output 2 (my main full-range monitors), I route my DAW outputs 3&4 to Line Out 3&4 which is a headphone mix, and I route DAW outputs 5&6 to Line Outs 5&6 which are my Yamaha NS 10 monitors. Also, on mine at least, I can route any Focusrite input to any output or any "Mix" in the Focusrite virtual mixer to any physical output. There should be a panel in the Mix Control that shows every output and has a "button" that when clicked will give you a drop down menu and enable you to route any DAW outout to any physical output.

The installer software includes the Focusrite Mix Control software which has a Routing "page" where you can set up every output's source.

Your Focusrite interface should have software that shows routing - I have a Fousrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP.
